The key to success is the satisfaction of your key people – and not only theirs. Learn to plan communication with them and manage their expectations. On this course you will get to know proven practices and methods from the field of stakeholder engagement, and try many of them out.

The purpose of a project is to deliver value to those who invest in it. The investor (sponsor), however, is usually not the only one who will use the result. A project is never delivered in an isolated environment, so it interacts with people and their surroundings every day. One of the most important tasks of a project manager – or of anyone in a delivery role – is to engage the parties involved. What matters most is understanding who the stakeholders are, why they have a stake in the project and what they really want.

On the course you will learn to identify them, plan communication with them and manage their expectations. You will also pick up proven stakeholder engagement techniques and skills. With them you will find the interests you share with the parties involved, learn how to win their support and engage them actively in favour of your goals. The content is delivered in a lively and entertaining way, with the aim of passing on new skills and also motivating people to use them in practice. The theory comes with plenty of practical examples and exercises, including role plays where you will try out negotiating with stakeholders. You will have the chance to discuss specific problems and ways of solving them with an experienced project manager.
